According to the regional government, as of today, 47 multi-apartment buildings are being constructed in the Kirov region using escrow accounts. In October of last year, the region registered the first transaction with the opening of an escrow account for the construction of a private house.
As Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin noted, more than 16,000 individual houses are being built in Russia using escrow accounts. "We see a significant increase in citizens' interest in individual housing. Our task is to create conditions for people’s desire to live in their own home. Escrow accounts have already proven their effectiveness in apartment construction, and now they ensure the safety of transactions in the private sector," Khusnullin emphasized.
It is worth recalling that from March 1, 2025, a law regulating the use of escrow accounts in the field of individual housing construction will come into effect nationwide.
