A resident of Kirov found a part-time job online and lost nearly a million rubles.

A 50-year-old resident of Kirov saw an advertisement about earnings from shares of a large Russian company on social media and decided to respond to the offer. A supposed financial manager called him on WhatsApp and later provided a link to the company's investment platform. From there, the victim downloaded the specified app to his phone.

Subsequently, the conversation with the Kirov resident was continued by a "company employee." The stranger explained the procedure for purchasing shares and withdrawing profits. Afraid of being scammed, the man initially transferred a small amount of money to the specified details, and later he received income on his account. According to the interlocutor, these were dividends on the invested amount.

After that, the Kirov resident trusted the scammers and "invested" 830,000 rubles in a month, of which 557,000 rubles were borrowed as a loan. Meanwhile, the "company employees" stopped contact, and no more money was received from them. The Kirov resident then contacted the police. A criminal case has been initiated on the grounds of "large-scale fraud," and an investigation is ongoing.
