80% of Kirov residents are willing to give up plastic tableware.

SuperJob conducted a survey among employed residents of Kirov and found that 80% of respondents are willing to give up using plastic tableware. It is recall that a ban on certain types of plastic will come into effect on September 1, 2025.

41% of respondents stated that they are unequivocally ready to abandon plastic, and another 39% somewhat support such measures. Women more often than men expressed a willingness to switch to alternative tableware. Young people are especially active in supporting the idea — among Kirov residents under 35, the share of supporters of giving up plastic reaches 86%.

About 20% are not yet ready for such changes. Their main arguments relate to convenience and the low cost of plastic tableware. Many emphasize that it is convenient to use during trips and vacations, and doubt the availability of a worthy replacement.
