The best taxi drivers in Russia are being chosen in Kirov.

      On July 12th in Kirov, the "Best Taxi Driver in Russia" contest (0+) takes place. In the morning, creative performances by finalists and artists are held on Theater Square, along with the car audio show "No Noise" and a concert by Rasa. During the car audio show, spectators watched as drivers compete over the loudness of their speakers—who has the loudest sound inside the car. Many Kirov residents gathered to listen to the cars and music, although most of the square remained empty. At 3:00 PM, duel races in "sprint-slalom" format began. Contest participants drove through an obstacle course in pairs, demonstrating their driving skills. Fewer spectators watched this than the car audio show, but some of the audience stayed near the race track. Soon — at 6:30 PM — the award ceremony for the winners of the contest will commence.
