A resident of Orichevsky district attempted to murder a person.

      On July 9, a 52-year-old resident of Orichevsky District, while intoxicated, was in an apartment on Shkolnaya Street in Pustoshi. At some point, due to a sudden personal hatred, he stabbed his opponent twice in the chest area with a knife, and then attempted to stab the victim in the neck, but failed to complete the murder — he was stopped by an eyewitness to the conflict. Additionally, medics arrived at the scene and provided the victim with necessary assistance.

      A criminal case has been initiated against the man under Part 3 of Article 30 and Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder). The accused is currently detained in accordance with Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation. The investigation requests the court to impose a custody measure in regard to him. The investigator is establishing all circumstances of the incident, gathering and securing evidence.
