One in three residents of the Kirov Region has access to confidential information at work.

The hh.ru online recruitment platform conducted a study to find out how often employees have access to confidential information and how well this data is protected. According to the survey results, in the Kirov region, more than a third of workers (35%) reported regularly working with confidential information. Another 39% stated that they have never had access to such data. Employees aged 25–34 (42%) most frequently work with sensitive information, while those over 55 (18%) less frequently do so. More than half of the respondents with access to confidential data hold managerial positions. The highest level of access was recorded in management (57%), finance (54%), and IT (53%) sectors. The lowest was in construction (20%), transportation (22%), and among manual workers (13%). In the Volga Federal District, including Kirov region, employees most often have access to internal company reports (68%), client databases (50%), financial (42%), and technical data (42%). Only a few have access to FSB databases, medical records, and personal data. The study also showed that resignation does not always automatically revoke data access. For 12% of respondents, access was maintained after leaving the company, in some cases for more than a week. Only 36% reported that their access was blocked immediately, while 52% admitted they had not checked this after leaving. The survey was conducted amid the rise in personal data leaks in Russia. In early 2025 alone, Roskomnadzor documented over 20 such incidents, exposing data of more than 24 million users. In 68% of cases, human error was the cause of leaks. It is easier for residents of Kirov to become medical workers and chefs than lawyers. Every third resident of Kirov region found their partner at work. Only 8% of Kirov residents rate their work as "ten out of ten."
