The Moscow Arbitrage Court approved the claim of the Kirov Region Prosecutor's Office to recover over 15.7 million rubles from the contracting organization for failing to fulfill the terms of a government contract, according to the press service of the agency.
Earlier, the prosecutor's office conducted an audit in the procurement sector and discovered that the company did not develop the design documentation for the repair of the Kirov Drama Theater. The contract worth 28.8 million rubles was terminated.
Due to unfulfilled obligations, additional funds had to be allocated from the budget. The prosecutor's office demanded that the contractor recover the difference between the initial contract price and the extra expenses—more than 15 million rubles.
It is noted that the company was also included in the register of dishonest contractors. Subsequently, another organization carried out the design work.
