The State Duma proposed paying pension supplements from age 70.
The document has already been submitted to the government for review. The initiator of the proposal is Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Labor, RT reported.
According to the draft, the supplement is planned to be differentiated:
from age 70 — an increase of 100% to the fixed pension payment;
at age 80 or if there is a first-degree disability — 200%;
at age 90 — 300%.
Nilov explained that the initiative was born after a pensioner from Lugansk, who worked in a harmful industry for a long time, reached out. According to the deputy, currently only about 25% of men and 54% of women live to 80, meaning many simply do not have time to benefit from the current additional payments system.
In 2025, the size of the fixed payment is 8,907 rubles.
