The special forces fighters' dish from Kirov will be included in the culinary book "Cook Like the Special Forces."
This is the second book dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the special units of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia.
The dish was prepared in the field — without oil, over an open fire in a cauldron. Its ingredients include meat, potatoes, onions, carrots, cabbage, and spices, stewed in their own juice. As noted by the soldiers, this method allows for a rich flavor and preserves the nutritional benefits of the ingredients even away from the kitchen.
The recipe has undergone its "baptism of fire" and was highly appreciated by the fighters. It will now be published alongside other dishes from special forces personnel from all over the country.
