Russian companies actively recruit navigators and sailors.
In the first half of the year, Russian companies published over 14,000 job vacancies related to maritime and river activities. Although this indicator decreased by 15% compared to the previous period, the total number of open positions demonstrates a stable interest of companies in qualified personnel. The largest economic centers of the country — Moscow and Saint Petersburg — offer the most jobs, where nearly two-thirds of all vacancies are concentrated. Along with them, the coastal regions of the Far East and southern Russia show a high demand for river pilots and sailors. In addition to ship crews, logistics managers, accountants, and even drivers and laborers are valued among applicants. Salaries in the sector are traditionally high: the median income is approximately 114,000 rubles per month, with offers ranging from 86,000 to 183,000 rubles. The annual trend is positive: a growth of 5%. The most profitable professions include ship captains and chief mates, whose monthly salaries reach several hundred thousand rubles.
