Drivers with medical contraindications will be deprived of their licenses.
If during a health check or medical examination a driver is found to have signs of illnesses that interfere with safe driving, they will be required to undergo an unscheduled medical examination. This must be completed within three months. In case of refusal or failure to appear, the driver's license will be revoked. Medical reports will be transmitted to the Ministry of Internal Affairs electronically. Upon the driver's request, a paper copy of the report can also be obtained. Licenses can only be reinstated after passing a repeated medical examination and receiving a positive conclusion. The new regulations will come into effect on March 1, 2027.
