In Kirov, a 44-year-old local woman became a victim of an internet scammer. The total damage amounted to 1.94 million rubles.
Earlier, a stranger contacted the woman through a messaging app, claiming to be the owner of a car-sharing company and a crypto investor. He promised to help her make money online and suggested registering on a trading platform. The Kirov resident followed all instructions: she created a personal account and installed the app on her phone.
Over the course of two months, she regularly transferred money to the specified accounts. Both personal savings and borrowed funds were used. After attempting to withdraw her earnings, contact with the "helper" was cut off, and the money could not be recovered. A criminal case has been initiated on this fact.
