A resident of the Darovsky district stole a car to ride

      In the Darovsky district, the police received information from a local resident that his Niva Travel car was stolen in the evening from Sovetskaya Street in the village of Darovskaya. According to the victim, he left the car near the store, and when he went out with his purchases, he did not see his vehicle.

      The police found that the man had not locked his car, but had left the keys in the ignition. The attacker took advantage of this.

      As a result of the operational search measures carried out, the car was found in a village five kilometers from the hijacking site. Police officers identified the person involved in the hijacking. He turned out to be a 49-year-old resident of the Darovsky district who had previously been convicted of a similar crime. He explained that he wanted to go for a ride, so he stole a car. As a result, the vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.

      At the moment, the issue of initiating a criminal case under Article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Unlawful seizure of a car" is being resolved. All the circumstances of the incident are being established.
