
In Urzhum, young men stole a car, tore off the license plates and destroyed the documents for the car
In June of this year, three young men aged 24, 16 and 14 were at one of the houses on Komsomolskaya St. in Urzhuma. They saw a VAZ-2115 belonging to a 17-year-old local resident, stole it and began to ride until the car ran out of gas.
When the boys ran out, they abandoned the car in the village of Bolshoy Roy, Urzhumsky district, and then, to hide their illegal actions, the guys tore off the state registration plates from the car, they also took and destroyed the documents for the car.
A criminal case was opened against the boys. They are suspected of committing a crime under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal possession of a car without the purpose of theft, committed by a group of persons by prior agreement). The investigators examined the scene. Witnesses are being questioned, the necessary forensic examinations have been appointed and are being conducted, and the criminal investigation continues. The actions of the defendants who stole and destroyed the victim's driver's license and documents for the car will be given a legal assessment.
