According to the regional prosecutor's office, during an inspection of the implementation of legislation in the field of countering crimes using modern IT technologies, it was found that fraudsters received money from the woman's bank account illegally. As it turned out later, the stolen funds were transferred to the account of a fake person living in Tatarstan, so that he could later cash them out.
A criminal case was opened on the fact of this incident under Part 2 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud).
In order to return the stolen money to the victim, the prosecutor filed a lawsuit to recover the stolen amount from the person to whose account the funds were received, as well as interest for their use.
The court granted the claim, and the defendant fully compensated the woman for the material damage caused.
