Rahim Azimov met with veterans of his military in a rehabilitation center
Together with Rahim Azimov, the center was visited by Viktor Bondarev, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, Hero of Russia; Vasily Piskarev, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Security and Anti-Corruption; Gennady Mamaev, General Director of JSC LEPSE Electric Machine Building Plant, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation.
The parliamentarians talked with the participants of the rehabilitation center and their family members, examined the premises of the center, and discussed the current work with the management and staff of the institution.
"We discussed with the guys their wishes regarding the conditions of stay at the center, and also sorted out pressing issues and appeals. Together with our colleagues, we will definitely help you solve them. The support of the participants of the SVO and their families is one of the key tasks set by the President. We will continue to provide assistance to veterans and support the rehabilitation center," said Rahim Azimov.
Following the visit, Rahim Azimov decided to purchase a car for a veteran of his military who was seriously injured. Also, according to Azimov's decision, additional extra-budgetary funding will be allocated for the improvement of the center's territory.
Viktor Bondarev and Vasily Piskarev noted the high level of professionalism of the management and staff of the institution.
The Kirov Center for Medical Rehabilitation and sanatorium-resort treatment of the participants of the SVO and their family members with children was established in less than a year. Extra-budgetary funds for the overhaul of the center's building were raised by Rahim Azimov. Funds for equipping the institution with medical equipment were allocated from the budget of the Kirov region.
The center started operating in September 2024. It became the first institution in the country where the rehabilitation and treatment of the participants are carried out together with their family. Almost 400 participants have already undergone course treatment and rehabilitation at the center.
