The trial of the illegal enrichment of a former deputy of the Verkhoshizhemsky District Duma has ended in the Kirov region. It turned out that in 2021, he purchased an apartment and parking space in St. Petersburg for more than 12 million rubles. At the same time, the deputy did not have any income confirming the possibility of such a purchase, the amount of expenses significantly exceeded his earnings for the previous three years.
The prosecutor's office revealed a violation of anti-corruption legislation and initiated the early termination of the deputy's powers. In addition, she filed a lawsuit demanding that the property be seized and transferred to the state's revenue. The court granted the claim.
