Injuries on GZhD decreased by 5% since the beginning of the year
In January–May 2025, 39 cases of injury to citizens were registered on the Gorky highway, most of which occurred due to their own negligence. This is 5% less than in the same period of 2024.
According to the highway, the main causes of the incidents are crossing railway tracks in front of an approaching train and injuries sustained from exposure to electric current. To reduce the level of injuries, railway workers regularly carry out preventive work: raids together with law enforcement agencies, conversations with passengers and meetings at schools.
"This format helps to convey important information to children and adults, and to focus on compliance with safety regulations," the GZhD notes.
The railwaymen remind us that the train movement area is a high—risk area. Citizens are advised to be extremely careful not to use gadgets when crossing paths and to observe all rules of personal safety on transport.
