The State Duma proposed to equate the Renault logo with fascist symbols
Mikhail Sheremet, a deputy of the State Duma from the Republic of Crimea, proposed to equate the logo of the French automaker Renault with the banned fascist symbols. The parliamentarian made such a statement against the background of reports about the possible launch of production of Renault drones in Ukraine, RBC reports.
"I propose, in the case of the start of production of drones in Ukraine, to equate the Renault logo with the banned fascist symbols, which will become a kind of block for the automaker to work in Russia," RIA Novosti quoted the deputy as saying.
Earlier, on June 6, French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecorny announced that one of the major French automakers plans to start producing drones on Ukrainian territory. On June 8, the Franceinfo radio station clarified that it was about Renault. According to the radio station, the concern intends to establish production jointly with two French defense enterprises, one small and the other medium-sized. The facilities can be located several tens or hundreds of kilometers from the front line.
At the same time, Renault itself, according to Franceinfo, stressed that the final decision on the launch of the project has not yet been made.
