More than 100 rescuers will ensure the safety of the Velikoretsky procession
A consolidated rescue team has been set up in the Kirov region to ensure the safety of participants in the Velikoretsky procession. It included more than 100 people, including certified rescuers, employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, volunteer medical workers and volunteers. 36 pieces of equipment will be used to accompany the procession.
Rescuers will provide assistance to the pilgrims along the entire route: if necessary, they will provide first aid, search for the lost and deliver the injured to ambulances.
In addition, those on duty will be in places of mass attendance of believers: during the liturgy, in parking lots and in cooking areas where an open fire is used.
Water safety control will be provided by employees of the State Inspectorate for Small vessels. Motorboats will patrol the water area on the Velikaya River.
The organizers of the procession and the emergency services ask participants to be careful, follow the instructions of the rescuers and take care of their health during a multi-day hike.
