The time capsule from the Green Embankment was moved to the Museum of Local Lore
According to the Kirov City Hall, the time capsule, which was laid on the Green Embankment in 1974, will be moved to the Museum of Local Lore in connection with the start of construction of the Feodorovsky Temple, which started today, May 27.
In the Museum of Local Lore, the capsule will lie under glass until 2074: that's when the deadline for its "opening" will come.
According to the Kirov city administration, a message to the descendants was placed in this time capsule on the 600th anniversary of the city, which was celebrated in 1974. The capsule should be opened on the 700th anniversary of the city of Kirov.
The contents of the time capsule include a large written message to descendants, a bas-relief of V.I. Lenin, a bust of S.M. Kirov, products from Kirov factories of that time, books and postcards about the city, Dymkovsky toys, films about the city, letters from Kirov schoolchildren to their peers living in 2074.
