Dmitry Panteleev, head of the Kirov Biochemical Plant and the Vostok Enterprise, opening the solemn event, emphasized the growing importance of Chemist's Day.
"Today, our government is closely monitoring the development of biotechnologies and the chemical industry. A large-scale scientific and production cluster has been created, headed by the Kurchatov Institute, where we act as industrial partners. Without our participation, the implementation of many projects, especially in the field of microbiology and furan compounds, would have taken much longer," he said.
Panteleev stressed that the country needs new materials, enzymes, antibiotics, resins and products based on furan compounds. He added that the enterprises are integrated into the emerging concept of the country's bioeconomy, actively cooperating with Vyatka State University in applied scientific projects.
"As a defense company, we have not disrupted a single delivery in a year, we have fulfilled all contracts," he said, thanking the team for their hard work.
