The construction of the Feodorovskaya Church starts next week in Kirov.
Next Tuesday, May 27, construction of a church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God Feodorovskaya will begin in Kirov, the Vyatka Diocese reported. Before the work begins, a prayer service will be held for the builders and parishioners of the temple to begin a good deed.
Recall that the wooden church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God Feodorovskaya caught fire on the night of January 25, 2023. Firefighters managed to extinguish the fire, there were no human casualties, but the temple building was severely damaged: the fire destroyed the upper part of the church, the dome, the drum and part of the windows of the upper and lower floors burned down. After the fire, the Vyatka diocese decided to build a stone church on this site, and a fundraiser was announced for the construction of a future church. In November 2024, the Vyatka Diocese announced that at the end of the year, the architectural bureau Asgard would hand over the completed project to the parish of the temple with a positive expert opinion.
On February 6, the Kirov city administration issued a permit for the construction of the Feodorovskaya Church on the site of a burnt-out wooden church.
It should be noted that in the spring of this year, the parish of the Church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God Feodorovskaya signed a contract for the construction of the temple with ROST LLC, Vadim Fedotov's company. It should be noted that on the eve of LLC "ROST" won the auction and became a contractor for the construction of a school in the city of Kotelnich.
Preparatory work for the construction has already begun: the construction site of the future temple has been fenced, preparatory work is underway.
