More than one and a half thousand Kirov residents may be included in the register of alimony debtors.

      Starting on Sunday, May 25, the register of alimony debtors will start operating in Russia: the federal law "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On Enforcement Proceedings" comes into force, which provides for the introduction of a register of debtors on alimony obligations.

      According to the Federal Migration Service for the Kirov region, the authority to maintain the register in electronic form is assigned to the Federal Bailiff Service. "In accordance with the new law, the registry will be part of the service "Database of enforcement proceedings", which is posted on the official website of the FSSP of Russia," the agency said.

      The UFSSP of the region noted that the basis for inclusion in the register will be the attraction of debtors to administrative and criminal liability for non-payment of money for the maintenance of minor children. The public register will also include persons who do not pay alimony to incapacitated children who have reached the age of majority, or to parents who are unable to work. The register will also include debtors who are wanted by enforcement officials and have not repaid their debts. Information about the debtor will be publicly available until the alimony debt is fully paid off. Partial payment of the debt will not be grounds for exclusion from the register.

      According to the Federal Migration Service for the Kirov region, according to the results of four months of 2025, more than 350 debtors subjected to administrative punishment under Article 5.35.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, more than 350 debtors convicted of committing a crime under Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and more than 800 wanted persons can be included in the register of alimony debtors from our region.
