According to the agency's preliminary data, the boy, along with his underage brothers, came to the river. When crossing the river, the child began to drown. One of the brothers tried to help the boy, but did not have time — he went under the water. The body of the drowned child has been searched for all day today.
On Friday evening, the regional investigative committee reported that the body of an 8-year-old child had been found in the Urzhumka River as part of search operations. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the boy's death.
A procedural check is underway on the death of the child.
