Court sentenced Kirov resident who strangled his father
On October 6 last year, a 35-year-old resident of Kirov, being drunk, was in an apartment building on Constitution St., Raduzhny village, Novovyatsky district. During the quarrel, the man punched the 71-year-old father several times in the stomach, after which he forcefully pushed him. The pensioner lost his balance and fell to the floor, but the man started punching him in the head again. As a result, a resident of Kirov strangled his father.
A criminal case was opened against the man under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). The investigating authorities have collected evidence that has become sufficient to send the criminal case to the court for consideration on the merits.
The Kirov resident was sentenced to seven years in prison to be served in a high-security penal colony. Taking into account the presence of a psychiatric illness, which does not exclude sanity at the time of the murder, the defendant will also be treated by a psychiatrist.
