Earlier we wrote that a child disappeared on the Urzhumka River while fishing. The regional investigative committee told the details of the incident.
So, yesterday, on May 22, the investigative committee reported that an 8-year-old boy drowned near the village of Shevnino, Urzhumsky district. A pre-investigation check was organized on this fact.
According to preliminary data, an 8-year-old boy and his underage brothers came to the Urzhumka River. When crossing the river, the child began to drown. One of the brothers tried to help the boy, however, the latter disappeared under the water. So far, the body of an 8-year-old child has not been found.
Investigators are establishing all the circumstances of the incident. Search and rescue operations are continuing. A procedural decision will be made based on the results of the audit.
