In April, food and travel prices rose in the Kirov region

      In April, prices in the Kirov region increased by an average of 0.6%. Since the beginning of this year, inflation in the region has reached 3.8%.

      The largest contribution to the growth was made by products, which on average rose in price by 1.1% over the month. Prices for dairy products have increased particularly strongly: sour cream, butter, yoghurts and ice cream. Sausages, sausages, fish and pork have also significantly increased in price. At the same time, eggs, rice, and some baked goods have noticeably fallen in price.

      Prices for non—food products have not changed much, with an average increase of 0.2%. Washing powders, deodorants and shampoos have become more expensive. Among shoes and clothing, women's summer shoes, men's windbreakers and women's tights have increased the most in price. On the contrary, prices for appliances have decreased: robot vacuum cleaners, microwaves, refrigerators and smart watches have become cheaper.

      Gasoline and diesel fuel prices rose slightly— from 0.2% to 0.6%. On the contrary, gas motor fuel has become cheaper by almost 3%.

      Prices for services increased by an average of 0.4%. The price of travel in compartment and sitting carriages of long-distance trains, car rental and medical care has increased especially noticeably. The cost of river cruises, vacations in boarding houses and hotels, as well as excursions around Russia has increased. Among foreign destinations, prices for holidays in the UAE, Egypt and some Asian countries have decreased, but prices for trips to Turkey and Belarus have increased.

      Communication services, dry cleaning and car service also became more expensive in April. At the same time, the cost of consumer loans has decreased.In 2024, wholesale trade in the Kirov region increased by 9%. Every fourth kilometer of heating networks in the region needs to be replaced.
