Uralchem has completed a cycle of environmental literacy lessons in schools in Kirovo-Chepetsk

Throughout the course, students participated in environmental quizzes, learned about the causes of environmental pollution, and conducted various experiments. Two lessons were devoted to the water cycle — what stages of purification water goes through before entering residential buildings and where it goes after use.

The final topic of the classes was devoted to the issues of proper nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. The students got acquainted with the recommendations for choosing environmentally friendly products and the rules for determining safe and harmful food additives. The students were also told about starch and conducted an interesting experiment with it.

At the end of the lesson, the participants of the Bird House competition were awarded. All students were presented with memorable gifts at the end of the training course.

Marina Melnik, Deputy Chief Engineer for Ecology, Head of the Environmental Department of the KCHK branch of Uralchem, member of the Public Chamber of the Kirov Region:

      — Environmental education of the younger generation is an important component of Uralchem's work. Such lessons form children's responsible attitude to nature and the world around them, teach careful attitude to resources and conscious consumption. The children enjoyed participating in discussions, asking questions, and actively engaging in practical activities.
