On May 21, the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum will host a session dedicated to the development of tools for influencing alimony debtors. The participants of the event will discuss the current state of affairs in this area and the possibilities for its further improvement.
Special attention at the session will be paid to the launch and development of the register of persons required to pay alimony. This registry will be fully operational in 2025. It will include information about those who evade payments, are wanted, or have been brought to administrative or criminal responsibility for non-payment of alimony.
The registry will be created on the basis of the information system of the Federal Bailiff Service and will be updated automatically. It is expected that its launch will increase the efficiency of alimony collection and strengthen the motivation of debtors to fulfill their obligations.
