After restricting his driver's license, the man paid off a half-million debt.
According to the Federal Migration Service for the Kirov region, enforcement proceedings were underway in the Nagorsky bailiff's office to recover more than half a million rubles from a local resident. "The man committed a crime under Part 2 of Article 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, for which the court ordered him to pay damages to the injured party," the Bailiff Service of the region reported.
The man knew about his debt, but he did not plan to pay anything, the UFSSP noted. During the execution of the enforcement actions, it was established that the only property registered in his name on the property right is a car. However, according to the documents provided, this car was secured by the bank, so it was not subject to arrest. Then the bailiffs issued a decision to restrict the debtor in a special right — the right to drive a vehicle. "The ability to drive a car played a significant role, therefore, such a measure of compulsory execution turned out to be decisive. The debtor has paid the damage to the injured party caused by the crime. The payment was made in full, along with penalties — a performance fee," the Federal Migration Service for the Kirov region reported.
