The incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections has decreased in the Kirov region

      Last week, a noticeable decrease in the incidence of influenza and acute respiratory viral infections was recorded in the Kirov region. Compared to the previous week, the level of diseases among the entire population of the region decreased by 26.26%.

      The decrease occurred in all age groups. The incidence decreased by 11.37% in children under two years of age, by 31.13% in preschoolers from three to six years of age, and by 37.56% in schoolchildren from seven to fourteen years of age. A decrease of 20.41% was recorded in the age group over fifteen years old.

      Laboratory monitoring has shown that both influenza viruses and other respiratory infections continue to circulate in the region. The type B influenza virus has spread the most.
