Kirov resident believed the scammers and lost her gold, car and half a million rubles.
A 55-year-old resident of the Kirov region received a message from a stranger in a messenger asking her to provide an SMS code. The woman complied with the requirement, as a result of which unknown persons gained access to her office on the Public Services portal. Based on the data contained there, the criminals began to threaten the highway with troubles that, according to them, could have been prevented.
Remote scammers even convinced the Kirov resident to sell the car, pawn the gold, and transfer the money she received with her existing savings to a "secure account." In total, the woman transferred 588 thousand rubles to unknown accounts. In addition, there was an attempt to force the victim to apply for a loan, however, the bank refused to issue a loan. When the woman did not find the car in the parking lot, which she was promised to return after a "fictitious transaction," she realized that she had been deceived. A criminal case has been opened under the article "Fraud".
