Kirov schoolboy, who was hit by a block of ice, received 150,000 rubles

      Let us remind you that at the end of February last year in Kirov, a terrible incident occurred at school No. 42. So, on February 28, ice fell on the child from the annex of the institution. A forensic medical examination showed that the injuries sustained by the boy, including a fractured rib, were considered to have caused serious harm to health.

      A criminal case was opened against a former employee of an educational institution who committed negligence in his official duties regarding the maintenance of a school building and annex, under Part 2 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (negligence). The court agreed with the prosecutor's opinion and found the defendant guilty. He was sentenced to one year in prison.

      Taking into account the information about the defendant's identity, as well as the severity of the crime, the court replaced the imposed punishment with forced labor for the same period, withholding part of the earnings from the salary to the state income.

      In addition, compensation for moral damage in the amount of 150 thousand rubles was collected from the educational institution.
