66% of Kirov residents approve of a shorter working day only for women

      State Duma deputy Igor Antropenko from United Russia proposed reducing the working day for women by at least an hour so that they have more time for their families. The salary level is proposed to remain unchanged.

      According to the survey results, 66% of residents of the Kirov region supported this idea. 22% opposed it, arguing that equality was necessary. 12% found it difficult to answer: "It is necessary to develop fatherhood in Russia so that both parents invest equally in the upbringing of children," "It is not possible to implement this idea in all areas."

      It is noteworthy that women were more likely than men to support shortening the working day.: 77% versus 56%. 32% of men and 12% of urban women disapprove of the initiative. At the same time, the older the respondents, the more supporters of the initiative there are among them: 63% of respondents under the age of 35 supported the idea, and 70% of citizens over the age of 45 supported it.
