Members of a conspiratorial radical cell involved in financing terrorism and promoting the activities of a terrorist organization banned in Russia have been identified in Kirov. According to these facts, the investigative department of the FSB initiated and investigated criminal cases on the grounds of crimes provided for in Part 1 of Article 205.1, Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The residents of the region were found guilty, and they were sentenced to 15 years in prison to serve their sentences in a high-security penal colony and 6 years in prison to serve their sentences in a general-regime penal colony, respectively. The verdict has not entered into legal force.
