Kirov residents can send parcels with humanitarian aid
The Russian Post and the Red Cross have launched a joint project to support residents of the Kursk and Belgorod regions. The initiative was launched in March. It allows Russians to send parcels with necessary things to these regions for free.
During the first month of the project, more than 200 charity parcels were sent to the Belgorod Region, and over 300 to the Kursk Region. The largest number of shipments came from Moscow and the Moscow Region, as well as from the Orenburg, Vologda regions, Primorsky, Krasnodar Territories and Bashkiria.
Parcels are sent without specifying a specific recipient. They are addressed to the regional offices of the Red Cross. The charity's staff is already on site sorting the items they have received and distributing them to those who need them. To send it, you must specify the postal code, the destination, make a note "On demand" and add the name of the regional branch of the Red Cross.
You can send various items to help. Goods for children, new clothes and shoes, bed linen, some medical products, basic necessities and technical rehabilitation equipment are accepted. The main condition is that all items must be new and unused. The weight of one parcel should not exceed 20 kilograms.
