465 emergency homes will be resettled in the Kirov region under the new program.

In the Kirov region, they are preparing to launch a new program for the resettlement of citizens from emergency housing. It will affect houses that were declared emergency between January 1, 2017 and January 1, 2022.

According to the previous resettlement program, from 2019 to 2024, almost 7 thousand residents of the Kirov region were resettled. In Kirov and many districts of the region, this program was fully completed in 2024.

However, three facilities remained unfinished in Kirovo-Chepetsk, Sosnovka and Kosino in the Zuyevsky district. 358 people were supposed to move into the houses that were being built there. Unfortunately, the contractor violated the deadlines for the work, and the contracts with him had to be terminated. Residents of unfinished houses will be offered to sell their dilapidated housing or buy apartments for them on the secondary market. Work in this direction is already underway, for example, in Kirovo-Chepetsk they are preparing to transfer funds to citizens.

The fate of unfinished houses in Kirovo-Chepetsk, Sosnovka and Kosino has also been determined. They will be transferred to municipalities. Local authorities will be able to use them at their discretion: sell them to other developers, complete them for office housing or include them in a new resettlement program.

The new resettlement program has already been rolled out and will begin to be implemented in 2025. It is planned that 465 emergency apartment buildings will be resettled by 2030. Their total area is 139.55 thousand square meters. As a result of this program, 7,679 people will be able to improve their living conditions.
