A dog bit a man in the Kirov region

The incident occurred on February 15, 2025 in the village of Arkhangelskoye, Nemsky district. A 41-year-old man was bitten by a dog named Buyan, owned by a local resident. However, after the bite, the owner did not deliver the animal to the veterinary facility on time.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Kirov Region, the Udmurt Republic and the Perm Territory, the dog was not examined by specialists, and it also did not undergo mandatory quarantine for a period of 10 days. In addition, there is no information about animal rabies vaccination. These actions (or, more precisely, inaction) posed a real threat to the life and health of citizens.

Based on the data received from the state veterinary service of the district, on April 9, 2025, the agency issued an official warning to the dog's owner about the inadmissibility of violations of mandatory requirements in the field of veterinary medicine.

The Rosselkhoznadzor recalled that such violations pose a serious risk to the spread of dangerous diseases, in particular rabies, and may entail administrative and criminal liability.
