The regional educational and methodological conference "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood: Development" has started its work at Vyatka State University
On April 10, Vyatka State University hosted the educational and methodological conference "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood: Development", which brought together university leaders and teachers from all regions of the Volga Federal District, government officials, and the public. The event was organized by the Flagship Scientific and Methodological Center for the development of the content of the module "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" and mechanisms for its implementation in the Volga Federal District, established at Vyatka State University.
The course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" was introduced in the country's universities on the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation V.V. Putin on September 1, 2023. This was recalled by the Governor of the Kirov region, Alexander Sokolov, opening the conference.
"This is an integrative course aimed at shaping a civic outlook and patriotic position.
The course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" is an important component of the education of our youth. The most difficult part of this process is the formation of a worldview. University graduates should not only have high-quality professional skills, but also realize the benefits of their activities for the development of the country," the head of the region emphasized.Igor Burenkov, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, addressed the conference participants:
"Over time, the relevance and necessity of the course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood" is becoming more and more confirmed.
It is obvious that now it is necessary not only for young people, but also in principle in society to form a state position. It is necessary not only to be proud of your country, to live and work in it, but also to feel appropriately how people live, what people think. As a matter of fact, this course is the basic foundation for understanding today."
The audience was warmly welcomed by the Rector of Vyatka State University, Valentin Pugach.

The plenary session was opened by Andrei Polosin, Vice-Rector of the RANEPA, Scientific director of the DNA of Russia project, and one of the authors of the textbook Fundamentals of Russian Statehood. The speaker outlined the milestones of creation, revealed the key provisions of the course "Fundamentals of Russian statehood", calling the systematic approach to evolution basic in understanding the content and semantic content of the discipline. Andrey Polosin also shared his thoughts on the prospects for the development of the ORG course in the higher education system.Dmitry Plotnikov, Director of the Reference NMC for the development of the content of the ORG module and the mechanisms for its implementation in the Volga Federal District, Associate Professor at Vyatka State University, raised questions about the perception of the course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood". In his report, he introduced the audience to the results of a sociological survey, which was attended by 7000 students and 150 university teachers of the Volga Federal District.
Current trends in the formation of value orientations for university youth were highlighted by Daniil Anikin, Head of the RANHiGS Department of Network and Partnership Projects of Public Policy.
Tuyana Dugarova, Deputy Head of the Center for Education and Personality Development of the Russian Academy of Education, informed about different approaches to building educational work within the educational process.
The program of the first day of the conference continued with meetings, round tables, and group work. The teams will have to analyze the experience of teaching the course "Fundamentals of Russian Statehood", put forward and systematize proposals for its improvement.
