During 2024, 29 babies with an extremely low body weight of less than 1,000 grams were born within the walls of the institution. The smallest was a boy weighing only 490 grams, born at the 23rd week of pregnancy. Thanks to the efforts of specialists and modern equipment, the child was saved, and he was recently discharged home with a weight of 3,870 grams.
The center has everything necessary to help such children, including special incubators (couvezes) that mimic the conditions of the mother's womb. The nursing process can take from several weeks to 4-5 months.
