29 Kirov residents died from alcohol poisoning
Rospotrebnadzor of the Kirov region has published data on toxicological monitoring for the first quarter of this year. According to the agency, 113 cases of acute poisoning of chemical etiology were registered in the region during this period. In the same period of 2024, more such cases were registered: 123 cases of poisoning.
Alcohol poisoning and its surrogates are in the first place in the structure of acute poisoning of chemical etiology: 37.2%. In the first quarter of this year, 42 such poisonings were registered, 29 of them resulted in death. According to the agency, 61.9% of victims of alcohol poisoning are men aged 18 to 65 years.
Drug poisoning is in second place (30.1% of the total number of poisoning cases). In the third place, carbon monoxide poisoning (15%).
