Wounded moose spotted in the pocket

      The moose was reported to the department a few days ago. Specialists went to the scene of the incident: the state inspector of the Center for the Protection and Use of Wildlife, police officers, veterinary services, as well as a representative of a local hunting user. They confirmed the information — the moose was indeed on one of the city streets.

      The animal's front right leg was injured. At the same time, experts did not find any traces indicating illegal hunting or other illegal actions against the moose. After people tried to approach, the animal left the village on its own and went into the forest.

      The exact location of the wounded moose is currently unknown. The situation remains under the control of the State Inspector for the Protection of Wild animals, police and veterinary officers. The ministry added that this incident does not pose a threat to residents of Luza, pets or urban infrastructure facilities.
