Sokolov replaced patriotic values with family values and "founded" Khlynov
A document signed by Governor Alexander Sokolov has been published on the website of the regional government, which amends the Law of the Kirov Region "On Holidays and Memorable Children of the Kirov Region." Thus, according to the amendments, the following amendments are being made to the Law of the Kirov Region dated February 27, 2024:
"In Article 1, the words "formation of patriotic values" should be replaced with the words "preservation and formation of civil-patriotic, spiritual, moral and family values."
Part 2 of Article 2 has also undergone changes. A new document in a new edition establishes the following holidays in the Kirov region::
January 23 is the Day of a large family
March 27 — Charter Day of the Kirov region
May 20 — Labor Valor Day
June 30 — Kirov Region Flag Day
July 1 — Day of Military Veterans
August 29 — Coat of Arms Day of the Kirov region
September 22 is the Founding Day of the city of Kirov (Khlynova — Vyatka — Kirov)
November 16 — Trade Union Day
December 5 is the Day of the Kirov region.
It follows from the document that the law comes into force 10 days after its official publication on April 4, 2025.
