      The Leninsky District Court of Kirov has issued a verdict against a 20-year-old local resident found guilty of committing fraud for a large sum. The criminals demanded money for "release" from responsibility.

      The defendant's role was to visit the victims and receive money from them, which he transferred to the accounts of his accomplices. As a result of his actions, more than 1.8 million rubles were stolen. The young man kept part of this amount for himself as a reward.

      The court found him guilty under Part 2, 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud) and sentenced him to 2.5 years in prison to be served in a general regime penal colony. The criminal prosecution of other members of the criminal group continues.
