Exercises to eliminate a terrorist attack at a fuel and energy complex facility were held in the Kirov region.

      The operational headquarters in the Kirov region conducted a command and staff exercise at a fuel and energy complex facility in the Urzhumsky district. Representatives of the FSB, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Federal Security Service, the FSIN, the Rosgvardiya, as well as regional authorities took part in the training, the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kirov region reports.

      According to the scenario, a suspicious device similar in appearance to an improvised explosive device was found on the territory of the Lazarevo linear production and dispatch station of Transneft-Prikamye JSC. As a result of its detonation, the pipeline was blown up and oil products were spilled.

      Law enforcement agencies promptly identified and detained those involved in the alleged terrorist attack. Measures were also taken to localize and eliminate the consequences of the oil spill.

      Following the results of the exercises, an assessment was made of the readiness of the forces and means of the operational headquarters of the Kirov region to respond to such threats. All the tasks have been completed in full, there are no casualties.
