Chairman of the Russian Eco-Community Rashid Ismailov visited the Ecocenter
The ecocenter hosted a meeting of the Commission on Ecology and Nature Management of the Public Chamber. It was dedicated to the implementation of a comprehensive MSW management program in the region with the participation of renowned Russian ecologist Rashid Ismailov.
The General Director of the regional operator, Ildus Gizatullin, made a report on the work done over 5 years. Thus, over the years, a unified system for the collection, removal and placement of MSW has been created. In addition, the number of container sites has increased from 5 to 17.5 thousand units, and at the moment the number of containers in all settlements is about 30 thousand units.
Currently, Kuprit's forces, with the participation of operators selected on a competitive basis, carry out the removal and disposal of more than 280 thousand tons of municipal solid waste per year. About 200 large-tonnage garbage trucks come to the line every day, transporting more than 800 tons of MSW to 14 landfills. At the moment, 1,213 employees work in the field of MSW management in the region, including 360 people in the regional operator.
In addition, an automated system for tracking the movement of all garbage trucks and maintenance of container sites has been created. The program allows you to monitor the operation of machines online, photograph container unloading, the condition of container sites, and also allows you to quickly make decisions in case of unforeseen circumstances.
In his report, Minister of Environmental Protection Timur Abashev identified development prospects: the launch of the KPO Tsentralny waste processing facility under construction in 2026, which will reduce the load on landfills and ensure the treatment of 70% of all waste generated in the region.
Rashid Ismailov, Chairman of the Russian Ecological Society, concluded that the regional operator looks decent at the federal level and is a model for many regions.
