
A man with esophageal bleeding was rescued in Kirov.
For the first time, an operation on the esophagus, unique for the region, was performed at the Emergency Hospital. The patient was a 45-year-old man who was taken to the hospital with esophageal bleeding.
After stopping the bleeding and stabilizing his condition in intensive care, the man was transferred to surgical ward No. 3. The head of the department assessed the patient's condition and prescribed endoscopic ligation of the esophageal veins.
The operation was successful under intravenous sedation. Two days later, in stable condition, the man was transferred to the therapeutic department for further treatment, from where he was discharged home a week later.
