A two-billion-dollar lighting system leasing contract is in question

      Earlier, the Road Committee announced that it was looking for a company to conclude a lease agreement (that is, a financial lease) for a lighting system for roads of regional and inter-municipal importance. The initial price of the contract was more than 2.15 billion rubles. The money was allocated from the regional budget. It was assumed that the property would be leased no later than December 1, 2026, and the authorities would make payments for several years until the cost of leasing was closed and the lighting system became their property.

      Anyway, it was not possible to sum up the results of the competition. The determination of the contractor was suspended following a complaint received from Moscow-based Lighting Technologies LLC Esco. It is currently under consideration.

      By the way, a company from Moscow complains that the customer allegedly did not establish a ban on foreign software and foreign goods. In addition, the company found violations of the legislation on leasing and the contract system.
