The Ministry of Transport of the region has developed and approved an order on the introduction of temporary traffic restrictions on regional public roads of regional or inter-municipal importance. The government of the Kirov region noted that the decision was made for the safety of roads.

Restrictions are imposed from April 4 to May 3 for vehicles with a maximum permissible weight of over 3.5 tons (with or without cargo). The order also approved the permissible axial loads of the vehicle for the period of temporary traffic restrictions. Thus, the permissible load on each axle of a vehicle with a single axle is no more than 6 tons, with a two—axle trolley - no more than 5 tons, with a trolley with three or more axles — no more than 4 tons.

The restrictions do not apply to passenger transportation by buses, including international ones, transportation of food, animals, animal feed, medicines, fuel, seed stock, fertilizers, mail and mail cargo, MSW, cargo for the elimination of consequences of natural disasters or other emergencies, as well as the movement of fire fighting equipment.

The regional government noted that full houses and road signs will be installed on the roads to inform drivers about the restrictions, and weight control posts, including mobile ones, will operate.
